5 Tips On How To Drop Pounds This Summer

More people drop pounds in the summer than any other season, so why don’t we have a look at how you can be part of that group?

Whether you’re a sun worshipper or hate being outside in the heat and getting hot and sweaty, these top tips on how to drop pounds have got you covered.

1. Exercise Early

It can be a drag getting up a bit earlier in the winter when it’s dark outside, but in the summer it’s a lot easier. The benefits of this are that you get your exercise done and dusted before you officially start your day and you avoid the heat of the sun.

2. Exercise Outside

Make the most of the nice weather by taking your exercise outside if you can. Being outdoors in itself is excellent for your mental health and the happier you are the more motivated you will feel. In addition, if you decide to do your workout in the warmth of the sun, you will sweat much faster which in turn will burn more calories.

3. Go For a Swim

Swimming is a great all-rounder exercise, but some can be put off by this in the winter months. The thought of getting wet and cold makes you want to stay curled up on the sofa. But in the summer, a swim can be very refreshing and even when you’ve got your heart pumping, you don’t feel hot and sweaty.

4. Eat Cold Meals

Eating a cooked meal can make you feel hot, whereas a cold meal, like a salad, can feel refreshing after a hot day. The great thing about a cold meal is that not only are they usually quicker to prepare, so saving you time, but they can also be healthier and less calorific. Just be watchful of dressings and seasonings as they can contain too much sugar.

5. Walk Your Weight Away

If the heat makes you feel unenthusiastic about a full workout, then just go for a walk. Getting in a few thousand steps out in the warm weather can make all the difference to your weight and your well-being.

So there you have it, 5 tips on how to drop pounds this summer. You don’t have to do them all, just choose 1 if you like and give it a try. But remember, that even if you hate getting hot and sweaty, the faster you start sweating, the quicker you’ll reach your body’s fat-burning zone. So take advantage of that summer sun and drop those pounds this season.

Often referred to as “the building blocks of life,” cells are the biological, structural and functional units that carry out tasks in an organism. A collection of cells working together is called a tissue, while a series of tissues performing organized functions are called organs. The human body contains trillions of cells, all with varying tasks that help support bodily organs; these include skin cells, nerve cells, blood cells, barrier function cells (supporting the lungs, gut) and more.
