New Year New You Transformation Challenge Winner – Rebecca lost 7st and Won £1000 Cash!

Our 3rd Place winner on the New Year New You Transformation Challenge, Rebecca, lost 7 stone with New You and won £1000 in cash.

Just over a year ago, Rebecca decided to do something to change her life and took on the New You Plan. She admits that it’s been tough at times but New You products made losing weight a little easier. Read on to discover Rebecca’s story, how she lost 7 stone and take in that inspiration!

NY: How much have you lost and how long did it take you?

REBECCA: So I have lost just over 7st and I started in March last year (2021) so it’s taken around 1 year.

NY: How did you discover the New You Plan?

REBECCA: I think I just saw something on Facebook, it was an advertisement. I just clicked into it and started reading some of the customer testimonials. I thought it looked like something that would be easy and fit in my life so I just thought I’d give it a go.

Before New You

NY: Describe how you felt before starting the Plan.

REBECCA: Oh god awful! I’ve been a bit of a yoyo dieter before and I’ve lost quite a lot of weight but the strictness wasn’t sustainable. Then I got into a new relationship and we were going out quite a lot and I just piled on the pounds. My eldest daughter told me at Christmas before I started that I was going to be a grandma. I realised that I didn’t want to be moving into that part of my life looking the way I did. I wanted to be fit and healthy.

NY: What was your first impression of the Plan?

REBECCA: So I have tried Slim Fast before which is similar although when I tried it there were no meals, it was just the shakes. What I liked about this one is I didn’t have to think about anything because it was all just there. I ordered the 2-week bundle because I thought two weeks isn’t a major financial commitment if it didn’t work. I just liked how it was so easy I didn’t have to worry about preparing any food or anything. So yeah, I was just really impressed.

Getting started

NY: What was your first week like?

REBECCA: Yeah I found the first week quite hard, I thought I might do. I’ve tried other programmes where I’ve detoxed and I kind of know what to expect. Going into detox and then ketosis I knew I would feel tired and get headaches and stuff. Yeah, the first week was quite hard. Getting your head around that the 4 products are all you are having for the day. Luckily because I’m working from home it fits in really well.

NY: What are your favourite New You meals and snacks?

REBECCA: Yeah so, I think my favourite meal that I seem to have all the time is the pasta broccoli. I do always tend to go for that if it’s in there and tend to double up on the main meal. I fast until around seven in the evening and then have all 4 products within that time frame. It’s usually before bedtime so probably between 7 and 9. It’s usually two meals, a shake and a bar. When I started, I used to have soup at lunchtime and some crisps. With my busy job, though, I struggled to find time for lunch so moved everything to the evening. Then because I drink so much on the Plan I started using the peach drainers. They really helped me feel full during the day and yeah you just get used to it.

More than the scales

NY: What was your biggest non-scale victory?

REBECCA: There have been so many but I think this week was the biggest. I was able to go shopping and buy a size 10 top which I probably haven’t worn since I was a teenager. I’ve had to wear a size 18 before so I’ve had to go buy sizes 10 and 12 which is awesome! I got to the point where I was ordering all my clothes online so I could try them on at home. I can now buy clothes because I like them not just because they fit.

NY: What was your biggest motivator for staying on Plan?

REBECCA: Yeah, so it was my grandchild. I’ve also got four teenagers of my own and I just wanted to be a really positive role model for them.

Life-changing results

NY: How has the Plan changed your life? How has your health improved?

REBECCA: Massively yeah massively. When I started I invested in some new scales so I could do all the body measurements and things. It’s not just my weight that’s gone down, my body fat has gone down too. My heart rate has improved and my fitness has improved. You know, all my aches and pains have gone, yeah I just feel like a new person.

Cells: The Building Blocks of Life

Cells: The Building Blocks of Life The human body contains millions of cells that rely on healthy nutrition like proteins, vitamins and minerals. While the body can create some of these nutrients, it also requires essential vitamins and minerals from food sources. Every living organism depends on its cells to function normally. Often referred to as “the building blocks of life,” cells are the biological, structural and functional units that carry out tasks in an organism. A collection of cells working together is called a tissue, while a series of tissues performing organized functions are called organs. The human body contains trillions of cells, all with varying tasks that help support bodily organs; these include skin cells, nerve cells, blood cells, barrier function cells (supporting the lungs, gut) and more. Cells rely on good nutrition for energy production and to prevent oxidative damage. The anatomy of a cell Cells in the human body are so tiny that they are invisible to th
