Yvonne was named a winner in our Jan/Feb Transformation Challenge, after losing an incredible 2st 2lbs in only 6 weeks, which saw her WIN £1000 cash. Here, she shares her thoughts on the plan & how her health has improved.
A HUGE congratulations Yvonne!
New You: What was your biggest motivator for joining the challenge?
Yvonne: I wanted to become healthier, happier, more active and to be accountable and to prove to myself I can do this. My standout moment was fitting into my favourite dress again and my favourite old winter coat finally zipping up!
New You: We’d love to know how you discovered the New You Plan?
Yvonne: I was searching online and I saw people recommending The New You Plan. I had never heard of it before and checked out the website. I was really impressed with the variety of products and the practicality of the meal preparation, which is so simple for those with a busy lifestyle.
New You: In those days before you started the plan, how did you feel?
Yvonne: Before starting New You I was not in a great place with my body. I felt disappointed in myself and I had lost faith in changing my weight. When I found the plan I was so excited to get started. I had a good feeling about this new lifestyle and I was determined to give it my all.
Getting started…
New You: What was your first week like?
Yvonne: I was impressed and surprised by how easy it was and I was comforted by the support of the online group and happy to see everyone’s progress. They really are a lovely warm welcoming group to be a part of. I honestly am so thankful for them!!
New You: Which meals & snacks can’t you live without?
Yvonne: Well there are a lot – I just love them all. They have something for everyone whether it’s a sweet tooth you have or you prefer more savoury dishes. There is a fantastic selection!
- My favourites are the Crispy Peanut Bar or Coconut Bar first thing for breakfast, just before work.
- Then for lunch, either the delicious Vegetable Chilli, Mexican Tacos, the wonderful Asparagus Soup or Chicken Noodle Curry Soup… there are so many! If I am I on the go I will have a Shake, choosing between the Very Nice Vanilla, Caramel or Strawberry and Banana – they are all perfect!
- I love to have my protein Crisps with my lunch – all the flavours are gorgeous!
- Then for my third meal I like to have Ham and Mushroom Pasta or Irish stew. I love something hot in the evening.
- Then I like to end the day with the Milk Chocolate Shake or Chocolate Orange Shake heated up, which are lovely for those cosy evenings.
- With 4 meals a day in total and a snack, I make sure I have a good variety and 2-3 times a week I swap the crisps for the Vanilla Wafers!
- Not forgetting to sip sip sip throughout the day, aiming for 2.5-4 litres a day!
A New Me…
New You: What difference has the plan made to your life?
Yvonne: I feel more confident in myself – I feel excited to get ready and go places with my family and friends. I don’t feel like hiding when the camera comes out. Overall, I’m just happier and thankful for how far I have come.
New You: That’s amazing! Have you seen any benefits to your health?
Yvonne: Massive changes! I used to get aches and pains and they have disappeared. I feel 10 years younger!
New You: Any stand out comments about your weight loss?
Yvonne: I was told the other day that I had lost so much weight, that I looked great and that my skin was glowing! It made my day!
New You: Finally, any words of wisdom for someone thinking of starting the plan?
Yvonne: You will love it and get all the support you need. You will be so glad you. In 6 weeks I have lost over 2 stone and once you get started the weeks will fly by. The sooner you start the sooner you will reach your goal to a NEW YOU!
