£30K TRANSFORMATION CHALLENGE: WINNER Fiona Lost 6st 11lbs* & WON £1000 Cash!

Fiona felt miserable. Her weight had crept up, she no longer socialised and she couldn’t bare to look at her reflection. After discovering The New You Plan, she decided to give it a go. As well as losing a life changing 6st 11lbs, her daughter encouraged her to enter our Transformation Challenge & she won £1000 cash.

Here is her story…

New You: Fiona, why did you decide to join the challenge?

Fiona: The reason I took my first photo was just so I had something to look back on to see how far I had come. And then my oldest daughter asked me when I was going to take my photo with my I DID IT poster. When I said I wasn’t planning on taking, she told me that I definitely should. So she pushed me towards it.

New You: Was there anything that helped you stay on-track while doing the challenge?

Fiona: I just stuck to my normal routine throughout it. I try to leave my packs to as late in the day as possible. When I started my re-feed, I was actually in Turkey. I felt like I was cautious of what I was eating but I still enjoyed myself. Usually when I go away, I’ll eat cake upon cake but I never let a cake touch my mouth.

New You: Throughout the challenge, were there any milestones that you hit?

Fiona: When I started, my BMI was 40.5 and now it’s sitting at 24.7.

New You: We’d love to know how you heard about the plan!

Fiona: It came up on Google. I have done a similar plan in the past but I never lasted very long on it. I’d thought about starting back on it but when I was online, I read loads of bad reviews and decided against it. When I saw The New You Plan and the amazing reviews and results, I decided to give it a try.

Getting started…

New You: What led to you starting the plan?

Fiona: I just felt awful. I felt fat, unhealthy and horrible and I didn’t really want to do anything. I was happy to just sit there and go nowhere. I’ve got an underactive thyroid, but that’s managed with medication. It was just totally how I felt about myself and how I looked and things like that. Things had become so bad that I wouldn’t look in a mirror. I don’t my hair without even looking at myself.

New You: And tell us about that first week…

Fiona: I thought it was going to be so difficult, but I managed to drink loads of water. I think I had a headache maybe about day four, but by day six, I had so much energy. I just couldn’t sit still. I had to go out for a walk because I felt like I had so much energy.

New You: What are your go-to meals & snacks?

Fiona: That’s a really tough one for me. There’s not a lot I don’t like, but I think I’ll stick with Indian Daal – that’s got to be my top choice. It’s nice and thick and offers so much comfort. And the Salt and Vinegar crisps, because I like to scoop up the Daal with them. I also love the Apple and White Chocolate Bar.

Life changing…

New You: How would you say the plan has changed your life?

Fiona: Oh, it’s made me so much happier. I want to go out, I want to dress up. I just feel so much happier. My confidence has grown, which is a good thing, because I had hit rock bottom. I just can’t even describe how this has changed my life, to be honest. It’s totally changed my life. I feel so much healthier. I never take the lift anymore. I always use the stairs. I can breathe when I get to the top.

New You: What is the nicest compliment you have received since losing weight?

Fiona: I think the one I hear most is that I look amazing, which is always nice to hear.

New You: What would you say to someone thinking of starting the plan?

Fiona: My friend has actually just started. I just tell her to take one day at a time. If you don’t like something, try it again later because your taste buds do change and things that I never liked, like the Chocolate Brownie to start with but my goodness, my taste buds obviously changed because it’s delicious.

New You: And then finally, what’s next?

Fiona: I want to lose another stone. That’ll take me to where I want to be. If I could just sit at ten stone, I’d be all right there. I don’t want to go much further than that for my height. I’m 5ft7, so I think ten stone is just fine.

Whether you want to lose half a stone or 10 stone*, have a slimmer figure, or are just looking to get maximum nutrition in minimum time, then New You can make the perfect partner to get you to where you want to be.

Cells: The Building Blocks of Life

Cells: The Building Blocks of Life The human body contains millions of cells that rely on healthy nutrition like proteins, vitamins and minerals. While the body can create some of these nutrients, it also requires essential vitamins and minerals from food sources. Every living organism depends on its cells to function normally. Often referred to as “the building blocks of life,” cells are the biological, structural and functional units that carry out tasks in an organism. A collection of cells working together is called a tissue, while a series of tissues performing organized functions are called organs. The human body contains trillions of cells, all with varying tasks that help support bodily organs; these include skin cells, nerve cells, blood cells, barrier function cells (supporting the lungs, gut) and more. Cells rely on good nutrition for energy production and to prevent oxidative damage. The anatomy of a cell Cells in the human body are so tiny that they are invisible to th...
