Give yourself the gift of self-love and care

Give yourself the gift of self-love and care

December can be such a busy time with it being Christmas and part of the holiday season. With so much to do, it can be easy to forget about yourself and schedule some self-care.

That’s why this week, Pascale is focusing on getting you to give yourself the gift of self-care this Christmas. She will help you to:

  • Boost up your energy.
  • Show yourself more self-love.
  • Be thankful to your body

It’s an ideal time of year for you to take action to re-energise yourself by boosting your mood and energy. After all, a new year is coming and so is a new you!

So what activities will you do to boost up your energy?

Well, there are several things you could do:

  • Sleep more.
  • Go for walks.
  • Move more.
  • Laugh more.
  • Sing more – really belt out those Christmas songs!

Self-love is so important, you should be doing it on a regular basis. Just think that you chose to be on your journey and it’s your life and you should allocate your time so it works in your favour. But what do you class as self-love? Well, anything that makes you feel good about yourself and positive. Such as:

  • Spending time with loved ones.
  • Taking a warm bubble bath.
  • Taking part in activities or hobbies that you enjoy.
  • Retail therapy.
  • Learning something new.

Another way to practice self-love is to be thankful to your body. When on a weight loss journey you tend to focus on your mind and stomach and other bits that you are unhappy with. A more positive way to move forward is to show appreciation and thank every part of your body. You can say thanks in any way you like. Some people like to say in front of a mirror:

  • I am thankful for my eyes that allow me to see my loved ones and the beauty of life.
  • I am thankful for my long eyelashes that make me look awake even when I’m not.
  • I am thankful for my tongue that allows me to taste delicious food.
  • I am thankful for my feet that carry me around.
  • I am thankful for my bottom that allows me to sit comfortably everywhere.
  • I am thankful for my arms that allow me to hug my loved ones.

For more in-depth coaching on being kind to yourself and loving yourself more, make sure you catch Pascale this Sunday at 5 pm UK time. It’s completely FREE to New You customers and takes place within the Secret Slimmer’s Facebook group. As a bonus, if you make Pascale’s session live, you could be the lucky winner of £25 New You credit.

It’s your time to become who you always wanted to be, so let’s go! Pascale is looking forward to seeing you Sunday!

Cells: The Building Blocks of Life

Cells: The Building Blocks of Life The human body contains millions of cells that rely on healthy nutrition like proteins, vitamins and minerals. While the body can create some of these nutrients, it also requires essential vitamins and minerals from food sources. Every living organism depends on its cells to function normally. Often referred to as “the building blocks of life,” cells are the biological, structural and functional units that carry out tasks in an organism. A collection of cells working together is called a tissue, while a series of tissues performing organized functions are called organs. The human body contains trillions of cells, all with varying tasks that help support bodily organs; these include skin cells, nerve cells, blood cells, barrier function cells (supporting the lungs, gut) and more. Cells rely on good nutrition for energy production and to prevent oxidative damage. The anatomy of a cell Cells in the human body are so tiny that they are invisible to th...
