YOUR WORDS MATTER

YOUR WORDS MATTER

February is classically known as the month of love, where we show our appreciation for those around us. But what about ourselves? What about you? You may think about how you love others but have you considered about how you love yourself?

The truth is that self-love is both important and necessary for positive emotional health. Self-love affects so many aspects of your life and the amount of success you achieve.

You see, no one will take care of you more than you take care of yourself. When you hold yourself in high esteem, you’re more likely to choose things that nurture your well-being and serve you well, like following your healthy plan or saying positive things to support yourself. So this month hop on board the self-love train with Pascale and learn how to love yourself as much as your friends and family do. Or even more so!

February’s first session is on Tuesday 1st and it’s all about words. The vocabulary you use when talking to or about yourself has a big impact on the actions and decisions that you take, or don’t take. So Pascale will give you some pointers on how to start having good thoughts and praising yourself every day.

In your workbook, there is space for you to write down your daily thoughts which you can then later analyse for negativity. Pascale will then show you how to flip those restrictive beliefs into freeing positive beliefs.

Pascale will also coach you so you can create some relevant positive morning statements such as:

  • I am strong and beautiful
  • I am worthy of love
  • I am enough

Pascale believes that there is always at least one thing you can praise yourself about each day and she wants you to celebrate it – no matter how small.

For the rest of the month, you can look forward to:

  • Learning self-appreciation and self-esteem.
  • Learning to love your body now – yes even with the wobbly bits!
  • Learning how to listen to your body’s needs and administer self-care.

This month’s sessions are on:

  • Tuesday 1st February 7 pm UK time.
  • Tuesday  8th February 7 pm UK time.
  • Tuesday 15th February 7 pm UK time.
  • Tuesday 22nd February 7 pm UK time.

You can Join Pascale over on the Secret Slimmers Facebook group and if you make it live you could win yourself £25 in New You credit. If the day and time aren’t ideal then you can catch up with Pascale’s sessions in the Guides section.

Oh and don’t forget to download your workbook, it’s so handy to refer to again and again.

With January done and its pressure of success behind you, it’s time to really focus on yourself and your needs. Love is all around and there is enough for you, so join Pascale on Tuesday and go and grab yourself some!

Cells: The Building Blocks of Life

Cells: The Building Blocks of Life The human body contains millions of cells that rely on healthy nutrition like proteins, vitamins and minerals. While the body can create some of these nutrients, it also requires essential vitamins and minerals from food sources. Every living organism depends on its cells to function normally. Often referred to as “the building blocks of life,” cells are the biological, structural and functional units that carry out tasks in an organism. A collection of cells working together is called a tissue, while a series of tissues performing organized functions are called organs. The human body contains trillions of cells, all with varying tasks that help support bodily organs; these include skin cells, nerve cells, blood cells, barrier function cells (supporting the lungs, gut) and more. Cells rely on good nutrition for energy production and to prevent oxidative damage. The anatomy of a cell Cells in the human body are so tiny that they are invisible to th...
