The Secret To Lasting Physical Change

By Evan Sanders

"The secret of change is to focus all of your energy, not on fighting the old, but on building the new. " | Socrates

One of the most fulfilling and most challenging journeys you may ever go on is seeing what your body is capable of. Maybe you are in shape, wholly out of shape, or merely expecting to lose some weight. However, developing a body you can be proud, one that is very healthy, and lets you really adore every possible last inch of it really is a dazzling journey to try.

So what is the secret behind making a long-lasting change with your body?

Consistency and commitment.

There's nothing else like coming to the table each day and giving it your best shot. Your best effort must be yours and yours alone. Don't start comparing your journey to other journeys or else you will become unmotivated and daunted by the task at hand. Instead, understand you're competing against and with yourself and yourself alone. Will there be times on your journey where you try and fail? Yes, many times. But every single time you do, you need to come back with a dedication to achieving something that you strongly want. Consistency will keep you in the game and on the field each and every day. Without it, you'll suffer the the unavoidable reality of many new years resolutioners who give up every single year on creating the body of their dreams because they lack the power to keep on coming back time and again.

Commitment also comes to mind, but not the commitment that you're possibly thinking of in this case. In our world, we are fed this concept that everything must occur at this time and if it does not actually occur now, it is not worth it. Your body is going to drastically change throughoutthe years, so why don't you make a lifetime promise to remaining healthy? Is that a marketable and packageable idea? Not particularly. But is it something that would truly change the course of your life? Absolutely.

When you make a pledge to keeping your body healthy all throughout your whole life, you may at last reach whatever goal you wish. It is about seeing the overall picture than just the few months in front of you till summer. It's honestly about developing something that you can be happy with for ever and ever. For me, that new concept changed my life as I was able to finally hit my health targets after 12 years of wrestling with my body image and food issues. But as soon as I changed my view of what I was attempting to achieve, everything I had wished for came to me. So try it on for size and see if it might work for you. Make a lifetime commitment to remaining healthy and watch how much your body will change in the short term as well.

Bring some commitment and consistency to the table, in all aspects of your life, and things will change drastically.
