Rev. George Malkmus at 88 Years Young!

Rev. George Malkmus at 88 Years Young!

From Melody Hord, Education and Marketing at Hallelujah Diet

I LOVED seeing Reverend George and Rhonda on video recently (Feb. 16, 2022). It stirred joyful and fond memories. George is 88 years old! He looks super! He still has his great sense of humor, positive attitude; and most of all, still firmly believes in the Hallelujah Diet he created.

I was blessed to be his “helper” for the 2-day workshops he used to give several times a year. I ran the microphone during the Q & A portions. I also was blessed to teach on Detoxification and “Stress, Rest and Emotional Balance”. Every group I witnessed was eager and excited to learn. Reverend George always set the tone: uplifting, to-the-point, funny, and fascinating. Most people were looking for a path to magnificent health. For many, the medical modalities had failed them or were disappointing for various reasons.

BarleyMax was free-flowing in the store. 2 servings of fresh carrot juice were served daily. There was always the gigantic salad offered at lunch.

Even in all my years of working at Hallelujah Diet and listening to Reverend George, I was not aware how extensively he and Rhonda had traveled over the years. I did not know that he had done seminars in every state except Colorado and Alaska. It was difficult work putting on those 3-hour seminars! Traveling took a toll. What a support to have Rhonda to gird George all those years. She is very witty and charming, just like him.

Reverend George is a Christian preacher. He could have pastored a church and stayed in one place. But his passion was to “evangelize” not only spiritual health, but physical health. Physical health and spiritual health are connected.

One of the Hallelujah Diet customer service reps told me that she hears people, all the time, telling about the time they saw George! They say things similar to:

“I saw George back in 1999 and I’ve been on the Hallelujah Diet ever since!”

“I went to George’s seminar in Tennessee and went on the Hallelujah Diet. I felt the best I’ve ever felt.”

When Reverend George gave his Saturday seminars at Hallelujah Diet headquarters, people came from a wide variety of states in the US. Some people came from abroad. The gym sized auditorium typically got very full. Some people made a weekend of it. Many would sign up for Rhonda’s culinary class the Friday night before the big Saturday “God’s Way to Ultimate Health” Seminar. It must have put quite a weight on Reverend George’s shoulders to know people had driven across the country to hear him speak. But George always came through with flying colors, except for the one time he had the stroke. (That story was mentioned briefly in the video. In a nutshell, Rhonda juiced him back to health.)

I heard Reverend George for the first time in 2005 in that packed auditorium. He was very entertaining and enlightening. My husband and I both had some health issues. Should we try the diet? At lunchtime, Hallelujah Diet managed to place a long table in the back of the auditorium with a vast array of salad ingredients. There was crisp lettuce, all sorts of chopped vegetables and probably raw seeds and raisins. We went and piled our plates high. As we sat there and ate, we had never had a salad so exquisite! I had Rhonda’s Lemon Herb Dressing. We had no idea salads could taste this fabulous. If there is one thing Hallelujah Diet knows how to do, it is to make a salad, and the dressing was what pulled the whole experience together. People also loved the Ranch Dressing and the Thousand Island Dressing. My husband and I realized that since the food was really tasty, we could definitely give the diet an honest try.

Reverend George loved to quote Romans 12: 1-2 KJB
I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

And Hosea 4:6 KJB
My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge:. . .

SERIOUSLY! If ANYTHING is wrong in our attitude, our health, our relationships, etc., a foundational principle to overcome the obstacle is to transform our minds. We must learn new things and figure out how to apply the newfound knowledge. And life is not one long straight path. We must keep learning and keep refining along mountainous climbs.

Hallelujah Diet practices the bible verses above. Reverend George has surrounded himself with brilliant minds, such as Michael Donaldson PhD, Olin Idol, ND and his son, Paul. I am ecstatic that George, with a following almost like a Rock Star, never simply rested on his laurels. Hallelujah Diet researches to ensure they offer critical information for people who are suffering. We have learned about iodine, vitamin C, fish oil, B12, selenium, silica, eye support and the list goes on and on!

As a person ages, many times they look back at their life. They may wonder if their life mattered for more than just taking the earth’s resources and keeping themselves afloat. It must be comforting for Reverend George and Rhonda to know that they probably gave thousands of people hope, and their message is still strong today. They taught people to truly look outside of the medicine box.

Reverend George and Rhonda are not medical doctors and never claimed to be. They simply educated people about innate self-healing and the life-changing effects of diet and lifestyle. In the face of ridicule, and even being called a quack, Reverend George sacrificed himself on many levels to help others.

No wonder my heart swelled watching them on video.

Cells: The Building Blocks of Life

Cells: The Building Blocks of Life The human body contains millions of cells that rely on healthy nutrition like proteins, vitamins and minerals. While the body can create some of these nutrients, it also requires essential vitamins and minerals from food sources. Every living organism depends on its cells to function normally. Often referred to as “the building blocks of life,” cells are the biological, structural and functional units that carry out tasks in an organism. A collection of cells working together is called a tissue, while a series of tissues performing organized functions are called organs. The human body contains trillions of cells, all with varying tasks that help support bodily organs; these include skin cells, nerve cells, blood cells, barrier function cells (supporting the lungs, gut) and more. Cells rely on good nutrition for energy production and to prevent oxidative damage. The anatomy of a cell Cells in the human body are so tiny that they are invisible to th...
