£100K TRANSFORMATION CHALLENGE: Christine Lost 3st 4lbs* & WON £1000 Cash!

£100K TRANSFORMATION CHALLENGE: Christine Lost 3st 4lbs* & WON £1000 Cash!

Christine was struggling with her weight. When her Doctor told her she was pre-diabetic, she joined the gym, but demotivated by poor results, she stopped. She heard about The New You Plan through a work colleague and intrigued by the ease and versatility of the plan, she decided to give it a go. Fast forward a few months and she has lost 3st 4lbs* & won £1000 cash in our £100K Transformation Challenge.

Here is her story…

New You: Christine, why did you decide to join the challenge?

Christine: I love challenges! Not only was it good to work towards a goal, but the potential prize at the end of it was motivating.

New You: We’d love to know how you heard about the plan!

Christine: My friend at work told me about The New You Plan because his wife and friend were on it. He said that it works but that it isn’t a diet for everyone. The plan sounded perfect for me because of the fact that there is minimal cooking involved and it can easily be eaten on the go, thanks to the wide variety of shakes and bars etc.

Getting started…

New You: What led to you starting the plan?

Christine: For the past 2 years I have been having blood test reviews because of a history of diabetes in my family. Last year I was diagnosed as being pre-diabetic so I joined the gym to help me get on a healthy path but I didn’t follow through with it.

Before stumbling upon The New You Plan I tried all sorts of diets. When my work colleague told me about the plan, I liked the sound of it so I embarked on the journey.

New You: And tell us about that first week…

Christine: My friend warned me that the first few days can be hard so I knew what was ahead of me. For sure the first 3 or 4 days were rough but then my body soon adjusted to the plan and it was much easier after this.

New You: What are your go-to meals & snacks?

Christine: I have a sweet tooth and having the Salted Caramel Cake and Chocolate Brownie makes me think I am eating the real thing.

Life changing…

New You: How would you say the plan has changed your life?

Christine: I am no longer pre-diabetic! My fitness has improved too. I play badminton and you can see how well I move around the court now. I can also now run for 25 minutes on the treadmill without being breathless and I can walk for longer as the aches and pains are gone.

I’m also more happier in life and I now like to experiment with what I wear. I’m now able to wear the clothes that I thought I was going to have to get of because they were too small. In fact, I still might need to get rid of them because they’re too big on me now… how ironic!

I found that following TFR (Total Food Replacement) made life easier for me as I knew what I was having every day and has made me up my water intake as well, which has helped incredibly with my skin.

My self esteem has also shot right up. In my before photos you can see how unhappy I looked vs how happy I look now. Thank you The New You for helping me find a better me.

New You: What is the nicest compliment you have received since losing weight?

Christine: My husband saying how good I look and also getting compliments from friends and family.

New You: What would you say to someone thinking of starting the plan?

Christine: I would say to anyone thinking of trying the plan to start now, not next Monday. It’s the best thing I ever did. There is a lot of support on the Secret Slimmers page – it’s unbelievable.

New You: And then finally, what’s next?

Christine: I have 1st 8lb to lose so I will keep going until I get to my goal and then I would love to start maintaining.

Whether you want to lose half a stone or 10 stone*, have a slimmer figure, or are just looking to get maximum nutrition in minimum time, then New You can make the perfect partner to get you to where you want to be.

Cells: The Building Blocks of Life

Cells: The Building Blocks of Life The human body contains millions of cells that rely on healthy nutrition like proteins, vitamins and minerals. While the body can create some of these nutrients, it also requires essential vitamins and minerals from food sources. Every living organism depends on its cells to function normally. Often referred to as “the building blocks of life,” cells are the biological, structural and functional units that carry out tasks in an organism. A collection of cells working together is called a tissue, while a series of tissues performing organized functions are called organs. The human body contains trillions of cells, all with varying tasks that help support bodily organs; these include skin cells, nerve cells, blood cells, barrier function cells (supporting the lungs, gut) and more. Cells rely on good nutrition for energy production and to prevent oxidative damage. The anatomy of a cell Cells in the human body are so tiny that they are invisible to th...
