£100K Transformation Challenge: How Lynda Lost 5st 10lbs, Won £1000 Cash & Gained a New Outlook on Life!

At the heart of every weight loss journey, there’s a story of transformation and resilience that deserves to be told. In today’s post, we delve into the inspiring experience of Lynda, someone who not only faced unique health challenges but also emerged victorious in the Transformation Challenge. Her journey underscores not just the physical changes she underwent, but also the emotional and psychological uplift that accompanied her transformation.

With a combination of determination, community support, and a flexible diet plan, Lynda’s story is a beacon of hope for anyone looking to make a significant lifestyle change. Read on to discover how Lynda shattered her weight loss goals, redefined her self-image, and embraced a new lease on life thanks to The New You Plan.

New You: Lynda, why did you decide to join the Transformation Challenge?

Lynda: I joined the challenge because it seemed like there was a lot of support and help out there. I joined other plans and the support just wasn’t there. You can go along and get weighed, but that’s about it. Things like the Transformation Challenge help you, push you along. So the more support you get, then I think you get a better outcome at the end of it.

When I found out I was a winner, I was gobsmacked. Yeah, I was definitely in shock. I was really happy, because it’s nice to win something. But yeah, I was in shock that I’d actually won.

Getting started…

New You: What led to you starting the plan?

Lynda: Well I was born with bad hips and my spine, so it has always been difficult to lose a bit of weight. With this plan, everything just seemed to flow really easily. It’s so easy to follow, you can take it with you. It really suited me. I really, really, really enjoy the stuff and the things you can make with the packs is unreal. I’m shocked. All the stuff that people managed to do and even the group, they’re marvellous. Everybody just helps everybody, which is nice. It’s like a tight little family.

New You: And tell us about that first week…

Lynda: I didn’t struggle. I did the water, I drank a lot of water anyhow, and I did have to up my water a bit. If you start early enough with your water, then you can do it dead easy. But no, I wasn’t expecting to lose 10lb in my first week. I was so happy I stuck with it.

New You: What are your go-to meals & snacks?

Lynda: I like them all. I love my Bars and the Shakes are just so easy. And with 99% of it, you can just take it with you and have it anywhere. I do like the Brownies and the Salted Caramel Cake because you can make them into biscuits, puddings, tartlets and stuff like that. It’s just a case of going onto the group and seeing what other people have done as well and having a go making it yourself.

Life changing…

How would you say the plan has changed your life?

Lynda: Well, my goal was just to lose some weight. But then, I lost 10lbs after my first week and it just seemed to come off each week. And I just thought, this is really good. This is easy, but to date, I’ve lost 5 stone, 10 pound. I never thought in a million years I’d lose that weight. I’ve never been this light, not even before school or anything. I’ve always just been, a bit clunky, let’s say.

Losing the weight certainly helped with my hip issue and my new hip. They told me I had to lose weight as well because it’s less pressure on my hip. But as in walking or whatever, because I was a big-ish girl, my legs used to rub together, you know what I mean? Or I used to get up in the morning and I just felt quite sluggish, but it’s totally different now. Totally, totally different. I can move about easier, I sleep better, I don’t worry about anything.

New You: What has being on plan taught you so far?

Lynda: I’ve learnt you can still have the nice things and still lose weight without feeling guilty that you’ve eaten them. Say, for instance, the Chocolate Brownies and the Crisps – you can still have them and you don’t feel bad… And still lose weight!

New You: Any memorable non-scale victories you’d like to share?

Lynda: Being able to go to the shops and get stuff without having to try this on, try that on and get something bigger. I can buy smaller clothes. I sleep better. And not only that, bit I feel better mentally as well. You’re not worrying about stuff or worrying what other people will think of you. I was always concerned that people were looking at me. But now I just don’t care or worry. I love it.

New You: What does life look like now that you’re at your goal?

Lynda: If it’s like this week, and I am due to go away I will sometimes do a week on plan to keep me on track, or sometimes I will do a week of shakes with others in the group and I have actually lost another 2lb.

Last summer, I was out in long cardigans with T-shirts on and I wouldn’t take them off. My husband used to say to me, take your cardigan off and I would always say no, but now I can wear the little tops with a little bit of skin showing. I just think, I can get in them so why not?!

New You: What is the nicest compliment you have received since losing weight?

Lynda: For somebody to say: “Oh my God, you’re so tiny, look at you”. And another one is: “You want to be careful, you need to hold my hand because if a gust of wind comes, you’ll blow away”. But yeah, it’s the “you’re so tiny”. It sticks with you. You think, yeah, I’ve done this. I’m really proud of myself. I went to try something on and I thought I’ll try a 10 and 12 – one of those will fit me. I tried them on and had to ask for smaller sizes. It ended up that a size 6 fitted me. I bought a jacket today that’s age 11-12.

New You: If you could go back in time to when you were beginning the plan, what piece of advice would you give yourself?

Lynda: Stick with it, be patient, and give it a go because it really does work. You’ve just got to have patience with it and it will come off, and if it’s not coming off in weight, it’ll be coming off in inches, most definitely. Yeah, it’s a fantastic plan.

Whether you want to lose half a stone or 10 stone*, have a slimmer figure, or are just looking to get maximum nutrition in minimum time, then New You can make the perfect partner to get you to where you want to be.

Cells: The Building Blocks of Life

Cells: The Building Blocks of Life The human body contains millions of cells that rely on healthy nutrition like proteins, vitamins and minerals. While the body can create some of these nutrients, it also requires essential vitamins and minerals from food sources. Every living organism depends on its cells to function normally. Often referred to as “the building blocks of life,” cells are the biological, structural and functional units that carry out tasks in an organism. A collection of cells working together is called a tissue, while a series of tissues performing organized functions are called organs. The human body contains trillions of cells, all with varying tasks that help support bodily organs; these include skin cells, nerve cells, blood cells, barrier function cells (supporting the lungs, gut) and more.
